Collingwood: Captaincy would be exciting challenge
Paul Collingwood has expressed his desire to captain England at this summer's Twenty20 World Cup, which gets underway in June.England are hosts for the tournament and the Durham all-rounder is favourite to take on the mantle after regular captain Andrew Strauss was left out of the preliminary squad.Writing for the Daily Telegraph from South Africa, where he is competing in the Indian Premier League, Collingwood explained that he is still waiting to hear what the decision will be."I am interested," he said, adding: "It would be an exciting challenge to lead England in a tournament on home soil."However, he has been unable to gain a place in the Delhi Daredevils starting line-up for the first three games.Collingwood is currently priced 1/25 by Betfair to lead England in the competition, with Rob key given odds of 15/11.The hosts are rated at 10/1 by Skybet to win the Twenty20 title, with India the favourites at 10/3.
