Rooney is United's biggest threat, says Pique

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has identified Wayne Rooney as the player who will pose the greatest threat in tomorrow night's Champions League final. The Spanish giants will challenge reigning champions Manchester United in Rome and Pique described the striker as "simply unstoppable".Today (May 26th) marks the tenth anniversary of the day Sir Alex Ferguson's men grabbed a late victory over Bayern Munich in Barcelona. Now, after equalling Liverpool's record of 18 domestic titles, the manager will now be hoping to cement his legacy further by seeing his side become the first in the Champions League era to successfully defend the trophy. And Pique believes that if that mission is to be denied, Rooney could well be the man to stop."I have never seen a player as powerful as Rooney - the way he goes past people, the intensity of his play," said the defender.Online bookmakers are still struggling to choose between the teams, with Boyle Sports offering odds of 13/8 for both. Coral Betting has given a very slight edge to Barcelona, although 888 Sport has done the same for Manchester United.
