Hughes: We need quality

Manchester City manager Mark Hughes has suggested that the club will need to bring in the right players over the summer. The former Manchester United player remarked that the big clubs were "eager to spend" during the current transfer market, but it remained important to make the right selections. He said: "We are still looking to address areas of the team and squad but we have to make sure that the quality we attract here is the right quality."Hughes' comments come after Cristiano Ronaldo was alleged to have secured an &163;56 million for AC Milan striker Kaka two days before and the City boss believes this kind of activity could result in an interesting summer transfer market. The Blues have already confirmed a &163;32.5 million for Brazilian striker Robinho last year. Betfair (Go to Betfair ») currently has Manchester City at 10/13 odds to finish in the top six. The club are also favourites behind the top four to win the Premier League next season and can be bought at 33/1 with Expekt (Go to Expekt »).
