Toure: City have ambition

Kolo Toure has confirmed that he joined Manchester City because he believes they have the ambition to succeed. Having passed a medical yesterday afternoon, the former Arsenal player completed a transfer for a reported fee of £15 million. Speaking to the club's official website, he said that he was only willing to move to the right team and commended the steps the north-west based side has made to become a Premier League force. "The ambition here is clear to see and is big. Everyone knows this club is moving and that is really, really important," he remarked. Toure joins other summer signings Carlos Tevez, Roque Santa Cruz, Gareth Barry and former Gunners teammate Emmanuel Adebayor. Manager Mark Hughes called the Ivory Coast international defender a "world-class" signing.
