Bentley rumoured for City move
Manchester City have been rumoured to be swooping in for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder David Bentley ahead of today's (September 1st) transfer deadline. According to Sky Sports News, the England international could be another high-profile signing to make his way to the City of Manchester Stadium following a slew of talent that has already been secured during the summer.
It is reported that Bentley has fallen out of favour with new Spurs boss Harry Redknapp after a drink-driving incident that saw the 25-year-old arrested.
Bentley has only played five minutes of Premier League action this season and has been linked with Aston Villa.
Manager Mark Hughes has previously said that no more transfers were to be made after landing Joleon Lescott for £22 million.
The Blues are undefeated so far this season after three games and are 7/4 with Skybet(Go to Skybet ») to beat Arsenal on September 12th at home.
Ladbrokes(Go to Ladbrokes ») has them at 14/1 to win the entire campaign.
