Football Betting News - Rooney Wants World Cup 10/10
Striker Wayne Rooney has claimed England want a clean sweep of ten wins in ten World Cup qualifying matches ahead of the tournament next year. England, who have already booked their place for the event in South Africa, have recorded eight straight victories and will face the Ukraine on Saturday (October 10th).
According to Rooney, England coach Fabio Capello "has made it clear" that a sub-par performance will not be accepted and the remaining games are just as important as any other matches.
The Manchester United frontman said: "The manager has stated that he wants to win all ten games and that is what we are aiming for."
With a limited number of competitive matches on the international scene before the 2010 World Cup, it is important to "take them seriously", he added.
Totesport(Go to Totesport ») has England at 4/6 to win against the Ukraine, while Rooney is available as an anytime goalscorer at 13/8 with 888Sport(Go to 888sport »).
