Football Betting - Liverpool Odds Lengthened By Gerrard Injury?
Odds of Liverpool beating Fulham at the weekend may have been affected by Reds manager Rafael Benitez's admission that Steven Gerrard is finding it difficult to recover from an injury. Benitez confirmed that the midfielder is still being worked on by the club's physiotherapist in an effort to ease damage sustained to his groin during an international game for England earlier this month.
Fernando Torres, who experienced a similar problem to the Reds captain, is likely to be fit for the game on Saturday (October 31st) though.
"Hopefully, Torres will be okay, but for Gerrard maybe it [is] more difficult," Benitez said.
Having already missed the last two games for the Anfield-based club, rumours have circulated that Gerrard may require surgery to rectify the problem.
Liverpool travel to Fulham tomorrow and are currently 10/11 favourites with bookmaker Betfred(Go to Betfred ») to come away with a victory.
Betdaq(Go to Betdaq ») offers odds of 17/5 on a home side win.
