Football Betting - Lampard Fears World Cup Group Of Death
England midfielder Frank Lampard has claimed the Group of Death is a concern for the World Cup campaign. Lampard told the Sun that every four years there is one set of tough teams that are drawn together and he expects this tournament to be "no different".
Commenting on tonight's picking of lots, he remarked: "There'll be the excitement of knowing who you will be facing and, hopefully, the relief of having avoided all the dangerous sides and dark horses."
As England are seeded for the World Cup, they will avoid ending up in the same group as both Portugal and France, but could meet one of these teams, as well as Ivory Coast, something which Lampard suggested would be the worst-case scenario.
According to the Chelsea striker, he and his England teammates will be waiting with bated breathe on the outcome of the draw, which takes place 17:15 GMT.
Those looking to bet on England to reclaim their 1966 glory of winning the World Cup can find them at 6/1 with Skybet(Go to Skybet »).
Blue Square(Go to Blue Square ») currently considers Spain and Brazil as the favourites, offering odds of 9/2 for both.
