Football Betting - City's Odds Dampened By Swine Flu?
Two Manchester City players have been reported as having swine flu ahead of the club's match with Bolton at the weekend. Vlad Weiss and Craig Bellamy are said to have come down with the illness, although the latter is supposedly on the road to recovery.
Assistant manager Mark Bowen confirmed to the Manchester Evening News that squad members and staff are showing signs of the H1N1 virus.
He remarked: "Players come in every day with sniffles, coughs and colds and the [doctor] has to determine whether it's the onset of something more serious."
According to Bowen, it is then the medical professional's choice as to whether someone can feature for the team.
Set to face Bolton at the Reebok Stadium on Saturday (December 12th), City are currently the favourites to win at 4/5 with Stan James(Go to Stan James »).
Betfred(Go to Betfred ») is offering odds of 3/1 to anyone who feels the home side will come away with the victory.
