Rafa Pledges Top Four Premier League Finish
Rafael Benitez has claimed that Liverpool will finish the season in the top four, despite currently languishing in eighth place. The Reds coach stated that the club, which is seven points behind fourth-ranked Arsenal, is continuing to improve with every game.
"I can guarantee we will finish in the top four," he remarked, adding that "if you want to be a good manager you have to find a way to change things".
According to the under-fire manager, the squad is in a much better position than it was five years ago in the face of current form.
Liverpool's most recent performance was a 2-1 loss to Arsenal, with Benitez praising his team's first-half showing.
The side next face Wigan Athletic at Anfield tonight (December 16th), a match in which many bookmakers consider them a 1/3 favourite, including Paddy Power(Go to Paddy Power »).
Wigan can be bought at 12/1 with Victor Chandler(Go to VCBet »).
