Torres: We Will Recover From Poor Performances
Fernando Torres has claimed that Liverpool do have the talent to recover their season, despite a recent run of poor form. The Reds frontman admitted the side is lacking in confidence and noted that fresh faces in the team could help.
"Obviously we need players," he remarked. "But I think the situation is really difficult because I think we don't have money to bring in the best players."
However, the striker was quick to point out that Rafael Benitez's men were good enough to come second in the Premier League last season with a similar line-up as they have in this campaign.
Liverpool currently sit in eighth place after losing 2-0 to Portsmouth at the weekend, with speculation that Benitez could be sacked as coach.
According to Torres, this would be a bad move as the manager is not the one putting in the bad performances on the field.
Liverpool next face Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield, with the home side a 2/7 with Bet365(Go to Bet365 ») and Boyle Sports(Go to Boyle Sports »).
