Mancini: Robinho Should Only Stay If He's Happy
Roberto Mancini has claimed he is not aware that Robinho may be moving to another club, stating he wants the frontman to stay at Manchester City, provided he is still enjoying himself. Speaking ahead of City's 4-2 FA Cup victory over Scunthorpe United, in which Robinho scored the final goal, Mancini insisted he had not been told the Brazilian player may be getting transferred back to his home country.
"Hopefully in the end Robinho will stay here. In the next day the situation can change but at the moment he stays here and I am very happy for him," he remarked.
The coach added that it is important that the 25-year-old is content in Manchester and continues to train hard to cement a place in the team.
Having defeated Scunthorpe, the Eastlands side will now face Stoke City in the FA Cup, with them knocking out Arsenal following a 3-1 triumph yesterday (January 24th).
Manchester City are currently second favourites to win the whole tournament, with Paddy Power(Go to Paddy Power ») and Stan James(Go to Stan James ») offering odds of 10/3 on this eventuality.
