Redknapp: I'm Happy If Pavlyuchenko Leaves

Harry Redknapp has claimed that he would not mind if Roman Pavlyuchenko left Tottenham Hotspur.

The White Hart Lane side are currently fourth in the Premier League and are 10/3 with both Bet365(Go to Bet365 ») and Skybet(Go to Skybet ») to finish the season in this position or higher.

Pavlyuchenko has made no secret of his desire to go to another club and Spurs manager Redknapp said that provided the right deal comes to fruition, he is happy to let the striker play somewhere else.

"He has been wanting to move for a while, but if he was to move I think it would be back to Russia," the former Portsmouth boss remarked.

The transfer deadline is set for 17:00 GMT today, but one bid for the Russian frontman from Birmingham City has already been declined and coach Alex McLeish has stated his interest has dissipated since the teams drew 1-1 earlier this month.

Having joined Spurs in 2008 from Spartak Moscow, rumours have spread that the 28-year-old could return to his former squad.
