Ancelotti: Terry Is A Great Leader
John Terry is an effective leader even if he has had the captain's armband taken away from him on the international scene, Carlo Ancelotti has said. The Chelsea manager paid tribute to Terry, despite the defender being stripped of his England captaincy after a 12-minute meeting with coach Fabio Capello.
"John is the perfect captain for Chelsea," Ancelotti remarked. "My captain has a fantastic attitude. He is doing very well in every game."
The former AC Milan boss refused to be drawn out as to whether the decision to sack Terry as skipper for England was a sound one, but reiterated his belief that the 29-year-old is the man for the job at the Blues.
Chelsea are currently top of the table and beat Arsenal 2-0 yesterday (February 9th).
William Hill(Go to William Hill ») has the Stamford Bridge side at 8/13 to win the Premier League this season, while Manchester United are also favoured, with Coral(Go to Coral ») offering odds of 6/4 on them retaining the title this year.
