Fergie: It Is A Three-horse Race
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that the Premier League title chase is a three-horse race after a recent stretch of good form from third-placed Arsenal. The Gunners have eased into within a few points of the Reds and are only three points behind leaders Chelsea, with the latter teams both slipping in recent fixtures.
"Arsenal are bang in the frame now," Sir Alex told the club's official website. "They have the easiest programme on paper and it will be an interesting run-in."
While he acknowledged that it was good for United that Chelsea lost last weekend to Manchester City, he stated that there are still a lot of challenging games ahead.
According to the long-serving manager, it is important that his squad focus on their own matches rather than getting caught up in the performances of other teams.
Bookmakers are finding it difficult to guess this season's victor, with Bet365(Go to Bet365 ») offering both Chelsea and United at 11/8, while Boyle Sports(Go to Boyle Sports ») has Arsenal at 11/4.
