Ferguson: Retaining Title Will Be Tough

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted the destiny of the Premier League is no longer in his team's hands.

The Scot watched on as his side could only manage a 0-0 draw against Blackburn, a result that left them one point behind leaders Chelsea, although Carlo Ancelotti's men have a game in hand.

Chelsea are now 2/7 with Paddy Power(Go to Paddy Power ») to lift the title, while United are third favourites with WBX(Go to WBX ») at 34/5.

"It's a blow, there's no question about it. It makes it really difficult to win the league now," stated Ferguson.

Injuries had forced Sir Alex to start young Italian Federico Macheda up front alongside Dimitar Berbatov, but neither were able to break the deadlock.

The Reds now face a daunting trip to Eastlands for the Manchester derby and Victor Chandler(Go to VCBet ») is offering odds of 11/8 on them emerging victorious from the encounter and keeping their challenge alive.
