John Collins: Celtic Will Want An Experienced Manager
John Collins has played down the chances of him becoming the next manager of Celtic.A former player at the club, Collins has previous management experience in Scotland with Hibernian and he is a free agent after leaving Belgian club Charleroi after one season, BBC Sport reports.
He is 16/1 with Victor Chandler(Go to VCBet »), but the current caretaker Neil Lennon is the 7/4 favourite with Skybet(Go to Skybet ») to be installed permanently.
Collins said: "There's a big job in Glasgow, but I would imagine they would be going for somebody a bit more experienced than myself."
But the man who also turned out for his country added that Lennon has produced four victories in a row in the league, which he believes may be enough to secure him the job on a longer-term contract.
He told the news provider that he hoped to be back in management soon and suggested that some interest had been shown in him.
