John Collins: Celtic Will Want An Experienced Manager

John Collins has played down the chances of him becoming the next manager of Celtic.

A former player at the club, Collins has previous management experience in Scotland with Hibernian and he is a free agent after leaving Belgian club Charleroi after one season, BBC Sport reports.

He is 16/1 with Victor Chandler(Go to VCBet »), but the current caretaker Neil Lennon is the 7/4 favourite with Skybet(Go to Skybet ») to be installed permanently.

Collins said: "There's a big job in Glasgow, but I would imagine they would be going for somebody a bit more experienced than myself."

But the man who also turned out for his country added that Lennon has produced four victories in a row in the league, which he believes may be enough to secure him the job on a longer-term contract.

He told the news provider that he hoped to be back in management soon and suggested that some interest had been shown in him.
