Sir Alex Ferguson: I'm Not Retiring

Sir Alex Ferguson has rubbished reports that he is set to retire as Manchester United manager next season.

News had been circulating that the Scot would be leaving the game after the 2010-11 season, with David Moyes suggested as a possible replacement.

His team are still involved in the Premiership title race, with Betdaq(Go to Betdaq ») making them 37/25 second favourites behind Chelsea.

They come up against Tottenham this weekend, with Bet365(Go to Bet365 ») making them ½ to emerge victorious from the encounter.

But Ferguson will be wary of a side that have beaten Arsenal and Chelsea in their last two games.

When asked about potential retirement plans, he said: "It is what you have to accept in life. There is pressure in life. I can deal with it. The only thing that determines whether I stay here is my health."

Moyes stated that speculation linking him with the job is nonsense, but he is 5/1 with Ladbrokes(Go to Ladbrokes ») to be the next man to fill the seat.
