Walsh decision makes My Will favourite
My Will is the favourite for the Grand National after Ruby Walsh confirmed him as his mount. The Paul Nicholls-trained horse finished fifth in the Gold Cup at Cheltenham, where Walsh had seven winners. And bookmakers have shortened odds of a victory at Aintree on Saturday following the announcement, with punters offered a best price of 8/1. Ladbrokes have My Will at 7/1, but spokesman David Williams noted that whichever horse Tony McCoy chooses will also be fancied."As soon as Ruby made his mind up we knew we'd have to shorten the odds," he said, adding: "The same thing will happen to the odds of [McCoy's] mount as soon as the news breaks."Speculation that he will mount Butler's Cabin is growing, making the horse 9/1 second favourite with Blue Square.Comply or Die, last year's winner, is currently 14/1 fourth favourite with the bookmaker, although he is as long as 18/1 with William Hill.
