Ground causing concern in Doncaster
Expresso Star is set to be among the runners in the William Hill Lincoln at Doncaster tomorrow, but his team have expressed concern about the going. The four-year-old won his last three starts of 2008 and is fancied to make it a four-timer this weekend - Ladbrokes offering odds of 3/1.However, trainer John Gosden's racing secretary, Peter Shoemark, explained that they would be "praying" for rain.Smokey Oakey, meanwhile, has been pulled from the flat season opener due to the lack of rainfall.Trainer Mark Tompkins said on his website that last year's winner would not be risked, stating: "After much deliberation and every weather forecast we can find, we have decided that it is not going to rain solidly over the next two days."Swop is currently second favourite in the online horse racing betting market at 7/1 with Stan James, while the bookie offers punters odds of 8/1 for Charm School.
