Binocular tipped for success as Cheltenham gets underway

The Cheltenham Festival gets underway today, with Binocular the hot favourite for the Champion Hurdle.He will be up against last year's winner, Katchit, who is currently fourth favourite.But trainer Nicky Henderson is more concerned about the threat of third favourite Osana, although he dismissed Celestial Halo - rated by online bookmakers at number two - as Binocular has beaten him twice.Henderson is looking for his fourth win in the race after See You Then crossed the line first three times during the 1980s and he stated: "This fellow is favourite. See You Then wasn't first time but the one thing they have in common is the ability to cross a hurdle very quickly, very slickly and economically."Binocular is currently priced 7/4 for the 15:20 GMT start, with Paul Nicholls' Celestial Halo rated at 8/1 in the online horse racing betting market.Punters can get odds of 10/1 on Osana, with Katchit as long as 16/1.
