Notre Pere out of Gold Cup
Trainer Jim Dreaper has revealed that Notre Pere will not be running in next week's Cheltenham Gold Cup.Having chased home Neptune Collonges - the second favourite for next Friday's race - in the Irish Hennessey last month, the Welsh National winner has suffered a setback and will not compete.And Dreaper also raised doubts over whether or not he will be ready to feature at Aintree."He's entered in the Grand National because obviously you have to be from the outset, but none of us are actually very keen to do it this year," the trainer stated.Earlier this week, 2008 Gold Cup winner Denman was confirmed for the race after impressing in outdoor schooling.He is currently third favourite with odds of around 6/1, with Neptune Collonges rated at 5/1 and Kauto Star - runner-up last year - priced 7/4 in online horse racing betting markets.
