Murphy aiming for National success
Trainer Ferdy Murphy has announced that he will be running Poker De Sivola in next week's Irish Grand National.Having not had an entry at Aintree, he is targeting both the Irish and Scottish events, with the first coming on Easter Monday.Poker De Sivola, a six-year-old, was seventh in the Kim Muir Challenge Cup at Cheltenham - his last outing.After the Fairyhouse event, Murphy is heading to Ayr for the Scottish equivalent with two horses set to make a bid for victory.Hot Weld and Nine De Sivola will be in action, having finished first and second respectively in the 2007 renewal.Confirming his plans, the trainer remarked: "Poker De Sivola will go to Ireland next Monday for the Irish National; he's very well and ran a good race in the Kim Muir."Murphy's horse is currently rated at 16/1 with Stan James, although punters can get odds of 25/1 with Bet365 . Wichita Lineman is the favourite and is priced 8/1 in the online horse racing betting market.
