English have "very little chance" in Derby
The Epsom Derby will be won by an Irish horse, an English trainer has predicted.William Haggas is entering South Easter at the June 6th classic, having won with Shaamit in 1996.South Easter is currently a 33/1 shot with William Hill and despite victory in the Dee Stakes, Haggas does not fancy his chances in the mile-and-a-half race."If all the English trainers are realistic, we have very little chance of beating the Irish, but you have got to have a ticket to enter the lottery," he remarked.Meanwhile, Aidan O'Brien is attempting to decide which of his charges will run, with nine of the 20 remaining entries coming from his Ballydoyle stable.Fame And Glory is now favourite, with another of O'Brien's horses - Rip Van Winkle - is third favourite. The odds of the John Oxx-trained Sea The Stars have gone out, but he remains second favourite with Betfair at 4/1.
