Delegator 'may feature' at the Curragh

Trainer Brian Meehan has revealed that Delegator could appear in the Boyle Sports Irish 2,000 Guineas later this month. The horse was not originally expected to head to the Curragh for the May 23rd race, but Meehan confirmed that it is now a "very likely" possibility. But after coming second to Sea the Stars at Newmarket, a change of schedule looks to be on the cards for Delegator.Meehan explained that although he had planned to wait until Royal Ascot before running the colt again, he may not able to run at all if conditions do not suit in June."In addition to the fact he is in such good form, we have to consider that the Royal Ascot ground could get quite firm," said the trainer.Meanwhile, Patkai is favourite for the Ascot Gold Cup, with Coral Betting offering odds of 3/1.Yeats is second favourite and is generally priced 7/2 in the online horse racing betting market.
