Youmzain set for Grand Prix De Saint Cloud

Mick Channon believes Youmzain could taste victory for the first time in a year as the horse prepares for the upcoming Grand Prix De Saint Cloud in France. The horse won the race in 2008 and comes into Sunday attempting to defend his title, with Channon suggesting he has a good chance. "He's in great heart and came out of the Epsom race well so that's all that matters. He was beaten a nose but that's him and that's the way he races," he said. Partnered with Christophe Soumillon for this weekend, the son of Sinndar has only been beaten by the best horses seen in the last ten years, the trainer added. Youmzain will run in the Saint-Cloud, the King George and then the Arc as he did last year, Channon confirmed. Punters looking to bet on the horse can find him at odds of 6/4 at Blue Square (Go to Blue Square »). Dream Desert, another runner from the same stable, is an outside shot at 200/1 with 888Sport (Go to 888sport »).
