River Falcon to run Dash again
River Falcon will go for his fourth York course victory at the Sky Bet Dash on Saturday (25th July) - a race that the horse has failed to come first in on three occasions.Taking part in this six-furlong race in 2004, 2007 and 2008, the nine-year-old's best finish is sixth, which he achieved last year.Trainer Jim Goldie said "he is a frustrating horse", but his form this year has been good, with only one bad race. Goldie remarked: "He has won three times at York and he loves the place. I don't know if he loves six furlongs at York, but he loves the track."Five and a half furlongs is River Falcon's optimum length, he added, although this limits the horse to only one suitable race - Portland - in the whole year. Those looking to bet on River Falcon can find odds of 14/1 with Skybet(Go to Skybet »). Knot in Wood remains the favourite at 10/1. Looking at today's races, Glasshoughton is considered most likely to win the Doncaster Minster Handicap at 4/1 with Totesport(Go to Totesport »).
