Sea The Stars a favourite for the Juddmonte

John Oxx-trained Sea The Stars is a 13/17 favourite with bookmaker Betfair(Go to Betfair ») to win the Juddmonte International Stakes in two weeks' time.

The colt has won the 2,000 Guineas, the Derby and the Eclipse this year, but Oxx told the Daily Mail that the horse may remain in training for another year if the end of his season is hampered by bad weather.

He remarked: "It would be odds-against that he'd stay on but, if things conspired to stop him from running, you'd be left scratching your head and wondering whether we should keep him going."

Oxx also denied that the horse's owners, Christoper Tsui and his mother Ling, are looking to sell the colt, confirming that they were not in talks with anyone.

After the International Stakes, the four-year-old will be considered for the Irish Champion Stakes (September 5th) and the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (October 4th).

For the Juddmonte International, Mastercraftsman is Sea The Star's closest rival and can be bought at 28/13 with Betdaq(Go to Betdaq »).
