Delegator A Favourite In Royal Ascot Betting
Delegator has emerged as one of the favourites for the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Royal Ascot on Saturday (September 26th). Blue Square(Go to Blue Square ») currently has the horse at 2/1 and trainer Saeed Bin Suroor admitted the colt was in "very good form".
Commenting on Delegator's chances of winning the Group One race, he remarked: "It is going to be tough but our horse is very solid, very honest and he always tries his best."
Bin Suroor also noted that the 2,000 Guineas runner up ran over six furlongs on Monday and "worked very well".
The Dansili colt recently landed the Group Two Celebration Mile and will be up against Ballydoyle's Rip Van Winkle in the QEII.
Totesport(Go to Totesport ») currently has Rip Van Winkle as the race favourite at odds of 8/11, while another Aidan O'Brien horse, Mastercraftsman, has been taken out of the running.
