Horse Racing Betting - Kauto Star Favourite For Betfair Chase

The Betfair Chase takes place at Haydock tomorrow, with Kauto Star the favourite of the nine runners declared.

Paul Nicholls's charge is widely priced at 11/10, although Paddy Power(Go to Paddy Power ») offers odds of 5/4.

Second favourite is Notre Pere and trainer Jim Dreaper is expecting the gelding to perform well despite a recent fall at Down Royal.

"He had a school earlier in the week - which went fine - and as far as we can see he's none the worse for his fall," he said.

The trainer went on to observe that the horse usually takes a couple of races to "get wound up", but he expects that he will be ready to go on Saturday.

Notre Pere is rated at 2/1 by Bet365(Go to Bet365 »), while Madison Du Berlais is the third favourite with odds of 6/1 and Imperial Commander, Halcon Genelardais are among the other runners.
