Horse Racing Betting - Albertas Possible For King George VI
Albertas Run may be a participant in the King George VI race after winning at Ascot on Saturday.The gelding was first past the post for the only time so far this year, having last won in the RSA Chase at Cheltenham last year.
Trainer Jonjo O'Neill said that he was "delighted" to see the horse in "good order" again and is considering the options available for the next outing, pledging to speak to owner Trevor Hemmings and race manager Mick Meagher before deciding what to do.
He stated: "The Peterborough Chase is one option and I know Mr Hemmings is keen to have another crack at the King George."
Bookmakers Sportingbet(Go to Sportingbet ») and Stan James(Go to Stan James ») both have Albertas Run at 14/1 to win both the King George and the Cheltenham Gold Cup.
Kauto Star remains the clear favourite for achieving such a double and is quoted at 10/11 by Stan James(Go to Stan James »).
