Horse Racing Betting - Master Drops Out Of Tingle Creek Chase
Master Minded has been pulled out of the Tingle Creek Chase in Sandown next month, the horse's trainer has confirmed. Paul Nicholls noted that the two-time Champion Chase winner has a "niggling" problem that has blighted his recent performances.
He remarked: "We want to get him right for the spring and there is no point going on until we find out what is wrong."
According to Nicholls, Master Minded will be going for a bone scan tomorrow (November 26th) to see if there is underlying damage.
Earlier in the month, the horse came third behind David Pipe's Well Chief in the Connaught Chase at Cheltenham, a race in which he continually hung right.
"There is no great rush with him," Nicholls said, adding that the aim is to get him fit for the Champion Chase.
Big Zeb is currently the favourite to land the Tingle Creek Chase, with Stan James(Go to Stan James ») offering evens on the racer romping home first.
Paddy Power(Go to Paddy Power ») also favours Master Minded rival Well Chief at 3/1.
