Horse Racing Betting - Youmzain Favourite For Hong Kong

Youmzain has emerged as the early favourite to win the Hong Kong Vase at the Cathay Pacific International Races at Sha Tin on December 13th.

Stan James(Go to Stan James ») currently has the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe runner-up at 7/2 to take the event and the horse's jockey Kieren Fallon has stated he has a "serious" chance of romping home first.

The six-time champion rider will be atop the Mick Channon-owned runner and two other horses while in Asia, with Fallon partnering Presvis in the Hong Kong Cup and Ferneley for the Hong Kong Mile.

According to Fallon, while Youmzain and Presvis are hotly-tipped to succeed, people should not count out US-based trainer Ben Cecil's Ferneley.

"Ferneley wasn't beaten that far in the Breeders' Cup Mile and will be much better suited to a right-handed track in Hong Kong," he remarked.

Despite the Irishman's praises, the horse is not favoured by many bookmakers, with Coral(Go to Coral ») offering odds of 33/1 for a victory.
