Horse Racing Betting - Morris Prepares For Grand National War

War Of Attrition is looking a likely entrant for the 2010 Grand National at Aintree, Mouse Morris has claimed.

The trainer said that while age is starting to be a factor in his performances, the runner is in "great fettle" currently.

He remarked: "The plan at the moment is to give him a run over hurdles to freshen him up a bit."

Last month, the ten-year-old finished in 11th out of 18 participants in the Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury, despite being strong out of the gates.

According to Morris, this could be the 2006 Cheltenham Gold Cup winner's final season, but he will continue to race him until the horse "tell us when he's had enough".

Looking ahead to the Grand National, War Of Attrition is considered an outside bet at 40/1 with Sportingbet(Go to Sportingbet »).

Betfred(Go to Betfred ») considers Tricky Trickster the favourite and is offering odds of 16/1 on him romping home first.
