Karabak And Katchit Set To Run In Long Walk Hurdle
Karabak and Katchit are likely to feature in the Long Walk Hurdle at Royal Ascot on Saturday (December 19th), Alan King has confirmed. The trainer said the duo finished impressively in the Coral Ascot Hurdle earlier this month, with the horses coming second and fourth respectively to first-place Zaynar, Sky Sports News reports.
According to Smith, the pair will face stiff competition from Big Bucks and Diamond Harry, but there is little other choice for them.
He remarked: "They will both take their chance - I've nowhere else to take them - and they might well be my only runners there."
The handler went on to state that it will be the longest race that Katchit has managed before, while Karabak has featured in over three miles at Aintree previously.
Those looking to put money on the pair can find Katchit at 51/1 and Karabak at a slightly more favourable 69/5 with bookmaker Betfair(Go to Betfair »).
WBX(Go to WBX ») also tips the latter to race as a huge outsider in the 2010 Arkle Trophy at odds of 455/1.
