Carlito Brigante Set For Musselburgh Triumph Hurdle
Carlito Brigante is likely to feature in the John Smith's Scottish Triumph Hurdle Trial on February 7th, the horse's trainer has confirmed. Gordon Elliott said that the Leopardstown winner is in fine shape ahead of the Musselburgh event next month.
"He's in good nick, he's been very good since and he'll probably go there, all being well," Elliott added.
Commenting on the recent weather conditions, the handler noted that he hoped the snow will have eased by race time as Carlito has shown to be a better runner over good ground.
The horse recently scored an impressive 11-length victory in the Grade Two Juvenile Hurdle, with Elliott admitting that even he was surprised by the result.
Punters looking to put money on the horse can find him at 14/1 to romp home first in the Cheltenham Triumph Hurdle with Paddy Power(Go to Paddy Power »).
Sportingbet(Go to Sportingbet ») has Mille Chief as the race favourite at odds of 10/1.
