Coe Is "in Good Form"
Saturday's (February 20th) Blue Square Gold Cup fixture at Haydock could be Coe's chance to shine, connections to the horse have stated. Trained by Sue Smith, the eight-year-old finished second at the venue 12 months ago and again finished runner-up in November.
Ms Smith's husband, Harvey, said: "[Coe's] in good form [the owner] likes to have runners in the big races at Haydock."
According to the handler's other half, he performs well on soft ground and this kind of race - a distance chase - is "perfect for him".
The horse also finished sixth in the Welsh National, as well as another second-place finish in the Rehearsal Chase.
Paddy Power currently has the gelding at 8/1 to cross the line first, while the race favourite is the Richard Lee-trained Le Beau Bai.
Both William Hill(Go to William Hill ») and Coral(Go to Coral ») have the seven-year-old, who was third in the Welsh National, at 5/1 to win.
