Cipriani left out of Six Nations opener

Fly-half Danny Cipriani has not been selected by England to play in the opening match of the Six Nations against Italy on Saturday.Coach Martin Johnson explained that he would like to see the 21-year-old Wasps player have some more games before calling him up to the Six Nations squad along with scum-half Harry Ellis of Leicester.Cirpriani and Ellis will instead compete for England Saxons against Ireland A on Friday night."Harry and Danny will spend this week with the Saxons as they prepare to play Ireland A on Friday," Johnson remarked. He suggested that this will not be indefinite and that both players are part of his overall plan for the upcoming Six Nations campaign. In the Rugby Union betting, England are strong favourites to defeat Italy at Twickenham over the weekend, while Ireland are also fancied to win against France at Croke Park.Tournament favourites Wales are expected by the bookmakers to defeat Scotland at Murrayfield on Sunday.
