Gatland rings changes for Italy clash
Wales coach Warren Gatland has made wholesale changes to his side ahead of the Six Nations meeting with Italy, with just five players retaining their place. The defending champions saw their chances of clinching a second successive grand slam slip away after losing to France last week and Gatland has opted to rest ten of the starting side."We have made a series of changes with no disrespect to Italy," he remarked. The coach is set to finally see the centre pairing of Gavin Henson and Jamie Roberts he has been hoping for, with the former making his first start for his country in 12 months. And Alun-Wyn Jones will captain the side for the first time, taking over from Ryan Jones - who is named as a replacement.Wales will be hoping to secure a comfortable victory to set up a final-day showdown with Ireland, who remain unbeaten and are given odds of 4/6 in the online rugby union betting market.
