Wilkinson to sign for Toulon?
England fly-half Jonny Wilkinson is thought to be considering a move to the French Top 14 league. The Newcastle Falcon has not played for his club since September, having suffered a dislocated knee - the latest in a series of injuries that have plagued his career. With the Falcons having just two games left in their season he is unlikely to appear again and therefore could have played his final match for the team he joined as an 18-year-old.Wilkinson, 30, whose drop-goal won the World Cup for England in 2003, is said to have been offered a deal worth &163;619,000) per year by Toulon. And incoming director of rugby Philippe Saint-Andre remarked: "My chairman is in contact with Jonny's people and I know they are making progress. Jonny could have a run of two or three years without a problem."Meanwhile, Newcastle have signed 27-year-old lock James Hudson from London Irish on a two-year deal.
