Injury threatens Henson's Lions chances
Gavin Henson is facing the possibility of missing the British and Irish Lions tour after picking up an ankle injury. The Wales and Ospreys centre could be out for up to six weeks and with Lions coach Ian McGeechan due to name his squad later this month, his odds of making it to South Africa will have come in.Ospreys physio Chris Towers confirmed that Henson, 27, sustained ankle ligament damage during the region's EDF Energy Cup semi-final match against Gloucester on Saturday.Explaining that surgery will not be needed, Towers said: "He will require a spell of at least two weeks in a walking cast before he can start to gradually get back to normal activity," adding that a full recovery will take between four and six weeks. The Lions are currently 9/4 outsiders with Sportingbet for the series against South Africa, while Stan James offers punters the best odds on the Springboks at 4/9.
