Kearney: We don't want to lose the last test
Rob Kearney has admitted that he was devastated the British & Irish Lions lost to the South Africans in the second Test at the weekend, but wants to end the series on a positive note. Being defeated by the Springboks 28-25 with the last kick of the game on Saturday means the Lions are not able to win the tour. Kearney said: "We will pick ourselves up now and a 2-1 defeat will be much better than 3-0."The Irish full-back scored his first Test try for the Lions to open up the scoring, but he confirmed he was "heartbroken" when Morne Steyn closed the game out with a 53-metre penalty. With Ospreys player Lee Byrne failed to recover from a hand injury, Kearney expected to start again this coming Saturday in the final Test at Johannesburg. A South African whitewash is the favoured outcome with bookmakers WBX (Go to WBX ») offering 3/10 on a 3-0 Springboks Test series win. Those looking to bet on the Lions to take the last match can find odds of 3/1 at Skybet (Go to Skybet »).
