Murray likely not to play first test

British & Irish Lions' player Euan Murray might be ruled out of the upcoming rugby union Test match against South Africa on Saturday. The Scottish tight head prop sustained damage to his ankle and was taken off within seven minutes of the Lions' 20-8 victory over the Southern Kings last night.Coach Ian McGeechan confirmed that the injury was not a fracture: "The good news is that Euan has had an X-Ray and there is no break. It is just a sprain."Welshman James Hook was also substituted as a precaution after taking a knock to the head. McGeechan said the outside half would undergo a medical review today. Hook has scored 32 points since the Tour started and could still play a part in Saturday's game.Boyle Sports (Go to Boyle Sports ») currently has the Springboks as 2/5 favourites to take the first Test on June 20th. Those wanting to bet on the Lions can find odds of 2/1 at 888Sport (Go to 888sport »).
