Springboks favourites in All Blacks clash
South Africa are 6/11 favourites against New Zealand with Betdaq(Go to Betdaq ») for their opening Tri-Nations match this weekend. Going into the contest, Springboks coach Peter de Villiers has made six changes to the side that was defeated 9-28 by the British & Irish Lions earlier this month. Morne Steyn will make way at fly-half for Ruan Pienaar, despite the former scoring the series-winning try in the dying seconds of the Lions Tour second game. Commenting on his decision De Villiers said: "It was a difficult decision to choose between Ruan and Morne, you always have difficult decisions as a coach."If injuries hit the squad, he added, then it is possible that Steyne would be included in the starting line-up. Other players brought in for the All Blacks fixture include Jean de Villiers, Pierre Spies, JP Pietersen, Bryan Habana and the previously suspended Bakkies Botha.New Zealand and South Africa are currently neck and neck to win the Tri-Nations series with both sides offered at 7/5 with Sportingbet(Go to Sportingbet »).
