Henry concedes errors lost match for All Blacks
New Zealand head coach Graham Henry has admitted that a number of blunders in the team's 28-19 defeat in the Tri-Nations series to South Africa were the reason for losing. Henry congratulated the South Africans on their performance on Saturday (July 25th), but suggested the All Blacks missed a number of opportunities to win the match. He remarked: "We thought we might have a bit of a show halfway through the second half but we just made too many errors during the game."Fighting back from 17-3 down to within a single score of achieving victory, a misplaced pass by New Zealand scrum-half Piri Weepu gave Springbok centre Jaque Fourie the match-winning try with just nine minutes to go. The pass was one of a number of errors that saw the visitors give away eight penalties in the first half. South Africa are currently considered the favourites to win the Tri-Nations series and are offered at 11/10 with Victor Chandler(Go to VCBet »). Ladbrokes(Go to Ladbrokes ») provides odds of 9/4 on the All Blacks taking the title.
