Sackey to miss season start
Paul Sackey has confirmed he may not appear for the Wasps for the first few games of the upcoming Guinness Premiership rugby league season. Winger Sackey has been out of commission with a broken leg sustained in a match earlier this year and said it is better to ensure he is fully fit before returning rather than risk further injury.
He remarked: "When I come back I want to be 100 per cent and hopefully fitter, stronger and faster than ever."
The 29-year-old admitted that he has not started running on the leg yet and that he has taken a trip to Poland to have special cryotherapy work on the limb.
Wasps prop Jason Hobson has already been sidelined for up to six months with a ruptured achilles, meaning the club is now 9/1 with Blue Square(Go to Blue Square ») to win this season's Guiness Premiership.
Skybet(Go to Skybet ») currently considers Leicester the favourites with odds of 5/2 available.
