Springboks team unchanged

Coach Peter de Villiers has announced that there will be no changes to the South Africa side that beat New Zealand 31-19 in a Vodacom Tri-Nations Test last weekend.

The Springboks now face Australia in Newland this Saturday (August 8th) and captain John Smit admitted it was good not to have any switches in the squad.

He remarked: "To have the same starting line-up from last week, definitely helps when it comes to preparation for the next Test."

According to the 31-year-old, the team is training well and is "looking forward" to competing this coming weekend.

One change is being made to the bench, with Ruan Pienaar coming back from fitness and replacing Wynand Olivier.

De Villiers has suggested that after two good performances against the All Blacks, those on the substitutes bench might find it difficult to make it into the squad.
