Henson reveals intentions to return

Gavin Henson has confirmed that he expects to return to rugby union play and has no intention of quitting the sport.

The Ospreys athlete rubbished rumours that he aimed to retire and confirmed he will be back on the pitch "before too long", after recovering from a series of grievances that have blighted him in recent years.

He remarked: "I am grateful to the Ospreys' management for providing me with the time needed for these injuries to be finally dealt with."

Currently sidelined with ankle ligament damage, the 22-year old also stated that he was "looking forward" to making his return to full fitness.

The Bridgend-born player previously expressed his disappointment on being unavailable for selection for the British & Irish Lions tour of South Africa earlier this year.

Coral(Go to Coral ») currently has the Wales-based team at 12/1 to lift the 2009-10 Heineken Cup, while Leinster - last year's winners - are available at 9/1 with Sportingbet(Go to Sportingbet »).
