De Villiers promises more
South Africa coach Peter de Villiers has stated that there is more to come from the team, despite having dominated the Tri-Nations series so far. Currently nine points ahead at the top of the table, the Springboks have won all four matches against New Zealand and Australia, including a 35-25 win in Perth last Saturday (August 29th).
Talking to Australian media, de Villiers stated: "Now we're at the point where we can trust each other, we can work on the little things that can make them so much better," adding that the squad "can go much, much higher".
While the Springboks were victorious at the weekend, the coach was adamant that the side could improve on a number of mistakes he saw in their play.
Sportingbet(Go to Sportingbet ») currently has South Africa as 4/9 favourites to beat Australia in their next meeting at Brisbane on Saturday.
The Wallabies are available with Ladbrokes(Go to Ladbrokes ») at 7/4.
