Rugby Union - Wilkinson 'hopes To Improve England Recall Odds'

Jonny Wilkinson has admitted that he moved to France in an effort to regain his place in the England international line-up.

Having recovered from surgery on his shoulder and a dislocated knee, the notoriously injury-prone 30-year-old has claimed he is ready for action, Sky Sports News reports.

"I'm playing, I'm taking knocks in the games and getting up the next morning and feeling stiff and then just getting through it," Wilkinson stated, adding that "without a doubt" he would like to make a return to England international games.

The fly-half moved to Top 14 side Toulon from Guinness Premiership side Newcastle Falcons this summer and kicked all of his side's points in their 18-13 victory over Toulouse this Sunday (September 20th).

Those looking to bet on England in the next World Cup can find them at 14/1 with Ladbrokes(Go to Ladbrokes ») to lift the trophy in 2011.

Punters wanting something a little less long-term can put money on Wilkinson's old club, Newcastle, to finish bottom of the Guinness Premiership this season at 10/1 with Bet365(Go to Bet365 »).
